Aleph presents itself as a magazine about comics, aiming to promote and critically analyze the form, content, and other aspects of this mode of expression. Aleph was created by a group of comic enthusiasts, resulting from the merging of the teams behind the fanzines Saga and Yellow Kid. In this first issue, there are articles by Machado da Graça, Luís Leiria, Joaquim A. Leal, António Magalhães Garcia, and José de Matos-Cruz (director). The publication features three short comics by Luís Dias Ferreira (Luis Diferr), Nelson Dias / Augusto Mota, and Maria João.
