this publication results from the works created in the fanzine workshop “fragmented culture.” the creative workshop, held on february 15, 2025, was promoted by associação post lab at their premises, with miguel correia, editor of the fanzine ultra violenta, as the instructor. initially, participants were invited to learn about the history of fanzines, with special focus on the evolution of these independent and “do it yourself” publications in portugal. revealed as a creative medium for cultural production and countercultural subversion, the themes presented in the fanzines shown, belonging to the fanzineteca de aveiro, are vast, ranging from visual arts to football and music. next, participants were challenged to create their graphic compositions through analog means (such as collage and illustration) related to the workshop theme: “fragmented culture.” the creations presented in this limited-edition publication are the results of each participant’s countercultural vision: david sena diana monteiro diogo ferreira elsa mendes filipa rodrigues inês paes maria valente marta fanti rita ricardo vavitcha xavier sousa cover, back cover, and colophon design: miguel correia
