The third Ploc!, edited by José de Matos-Cruz, returns with the subtitle changed to "Revista de Banda Desenhada" (Comics Magazine), and shows a significant qualitative improvement compared to the previous issues. It starts with the extraordinary and striking cover featuring Valentina against a red background. The editorial is presented in the form of comic strips, created by Zé Marta and Al Bonjour. Following the 1973 St. Michel Award given to Sidney Jordan, his series "Jeff Hawke" is highlighted in a text signed by António Amaral. Matos-Cruz introduces the Brazilian humorist Ziraldo through the hyper-powerful "Super-Nacional". Then, a text about "Valentina" by Guido Crepax is followed by four pages from the Italian author. 'Do Ponto Zero ao Alguma Coisa' (From Zero Point to Something) is a brief guide to some comic-related events that took place in 1973, marking the first steps taken in Portugal. Vasco Granja is one of the most prominent promoters and disseminators, having organized a show at FIL, with the Quadrinhos fanzine and an exhibition. There is also a reference to the emergence of Aleph and the launch of "Wanya" by Nelson Dias and Augusto Mota. 'A Ideossincrasia dos Comix Underground' (The Idiosyncrasies of Underground Comix), texts by J. Matos-Cruz about American alternative comics, framing them within a larger cultural and social movement, encompassing the Beat Generation, hippies, anti-Vietnam protests, and counterculture. The comic "P3" by Al Bonjour is a sort of galactic battle between the Third Ploc! and the political-intellectual projectiles launched by Aleph. Next, there’s an extensive interview with the author Jayme Cortez, accompanied by the publication of the unpublished episode of the comic "O Retrato do Mal" (The Portrait of Evil). 'Pearl' is a page by João José Monsanto dedicated to the late Janis Joplin. To finish, a small gallery of fantastic illustrations by American Kenneth Smith. Texts by Erradiador on the blog My Nation Underground.
