As part of Rock’n’Camp 2024, the exhibition Travel Through Fanzine Space opened in Castelo de Paiva on 3 September!

In addition to the Rock’n’Cave Fanzinoteca collection, built up over more than twenty years, the fanzines entered in the 2024 fanzine competition organised by the same institution were also on display.

On the same day, at the Local Culture Interpretation Centre, where the exhibition was held, the workshop “Rock’n’Zines – Experimental Design and Independent Publishing” took place, led by Miguel Correia, coordinator of Fanzineteca de Aveiro and editor of Fanzine Ultra Violenta.

Participants were challenged to collaborate on creating an editorial object in fanzine format, exploring visual representations of each person’s favourite band or piece of music.

Also at this venue, following the workshop, the discussion “Publishing to (Re)Exist. Fanzines in Portugal (1978–2024)” took place, featuring Paula Guerra (researcher and university lecturer).
