Details:

O Olho was edited in 1978 by Fernando Augusto Rocha, during his student years at the Porto School of Fine Arts. This fanzine, of which only this issue was released, recently reappeared in excellent form, as if transported by a time machine into our days, thanks to the editor's son. The fanzine opens with a story by Liseron, narrating the end of a day, catching Manuel furious for having been admitted as a worker in a factory. Then, come the nightmares he has during his nighttime sleep, with the mechanical and inhuman world he dreams of encountering inside the factory. Poetry also has a place in this publication, with contributions from Any and also Bruma. As for comics, O Olho presents two pages, with Planet Earth and earthly life envisioned as a failed experiment. Liseron's drawings display a refined psychedelic style in science fiction tones. M. Correia publishes an essay for a deconstruction of "pop" — on the definition of the "pop phenomenon", discussing the commercial appropriation of music and the commercial deviations of many artists and bands. Finally, "Prémio da Poesia" (Poetry Prize), a humorous, nonsense comic strip signed by Sérgio. Texts by Erradiador on the blog My Nation Underground.
