In its second issue, Aleph undergoes a substantial change in direction, adopting a highly politicised editorial stance with a far-left (Maoist) orientation and including works by several international contributors. Notably, its subtitle changes from "Revista Portuguesa de Banda Desenhada" ("Portuguese Comics Magazine") to "Revista de Banda Desenhada" ("Comics Magazine").

The issue features several unsigned texts offering particularly sharp and uncompromising criticism of comics creators (Vitor Mesquita), figures within the comics scene (Vasco Granja) and publications (the fanzines Impulso, Copra, Quadrinhos and Ploc).

Carlos Pessoa contributes an extensive essay entitled "João Tempestade: Elementos para uma Leitura da Obra de Frank Robbins" ("Johnny Hazard: Elements for an Interpretation of Frank Robbins' Work").

An interview with American cartoonist Ron Cobb is featured, alongside several of his cartoons. The issue also includes a number of comic strips by the young creators João Malheiro (scripts) and Fernando Sarzedas (artwork).
