"The first issue of O Gato que Mia ('The Cat That Meows') features five pages of comics arranged on a single A3 sheet. Amadeu Escórcio's comics reflect a particular notion of Portuguese identity: a nation gazing at itself in the mirror, going to the café to watch football with friends, nostalgically recalling bygone days and enjoying a life of idleness.

The final comic page, entitled Ferdinand no Colégio Inglês ('Ferdinand at the English School'), draws on an excerpt from Céline's novel Death on Credit to tell a short story about a boy resistant to learning English and his sexual distractions.

Riscalhando... ('Scribbling...') is a loose yellow A4 sheet featuring sketches, notes and assorted drawings by Amadeu Escórcio, inserted inside the A3 sheet folded in half."
